Prospectus for Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin

Bibb Latané

Ohio State University

The Division of Personality and Social Psychology has embarked on a new venture, the publication of a Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin, to be mailed quarterly to all members of the Division and to other subscribers. The new journal will serve the needs of readers by giving them rigorously selected, concisely written articles at little cost. It will serve authors by providing relatively quick access to a large audience. Hopeful ly, it will complement rather than compete with existing publica tion channels and test the effectiveness of alternative and inno vative publication policies. This prospectus presents the purposes and strategy, the editorial and production policies, the financial prospects and the organizational structure of the new Bulletin.
