Groups Would Do Better without Humans

A recent article entitled "Humans Would Do Better With- out Groups" (Buys, 1978) presented a misleading review of the small group literature. Positive effects of group membership were not reviewed nor did the author indicate how badly individuals behave when alone. The point is that small group theory can specify the structure of a near perfect group except for the "error" which occurs when inefficient, insecure, and illogical humans are added. Hence, it could be concluded that groups would do better without humans.
