National Institute for Occupational Health and Safety The effects of target confidence, type of influence system, and admission of influence upon influence source attributions of having exerted influence were studied in the context of a persuasion experiment. An influence system x admission of influence interaction effect characterized the participants' attributions of influence. The study was discussed in terms of Schopler and Layton's (1972a) model of attributed influence.
