Sex Differences on a Conjunctive TaskMixed-Doubles Tennis TeamsWayne State University Mixed-doubles tennis teams were examined in seven tournaments to determine the relative contributions of the ability of the male partner and that of the female partner. Regression analysis indicated that for these conjunctive task groups the ability of the female player accounted for significantly more variance in team success than did the ability of the male partner. Separate analyses of the seven tournaments showed a similar pattern in all but one tournament.
